Windows 8.1 is an updated version of Windows 8 and Windows RT. As for now Windows 8 users (Those who have genuine product only ) can upgrade to Windows 8.1 free of cost from the Store. For others there are some lengthy procedures to get the .iso file by entering the windows 8 keys. Another way to get the .iso file is to download it from torrent sites. Windows 8.1 System Requirements
Windows 8.1 system requirements are virtually the same as Windows 8. Here are the major requirements:
Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
