Deepika Padukone has taken it upon herself to assure fans that her chemistry with ex Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukherjee's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani is going to be great, despite speculation, and she explains how.
The 26-year-old actress, fresh off the success of her latest release Cocktail, is often the one faced with this question while Ranbir is rarely heard talking about it in a public forum. Deepika fans love her for her mature handling of sensitive questions.
"Ranbir and I understand that; but we don't feel the pressure to make our on-screen chemistry work. We're aware of the speculations around our reel romance. We don't let it affect us," Deepika told HT.
And she explains that by keeping focus on work instead of gossip columns, she and Ranbir will look convincing on-screen just as they were in their last film together Bachna Ae Haseeno.
"And because we are not paying heed to anything apart from our work, the chemistry will be great."
